A Year for Growth

I know this is the time of year for resolutions & goals, I hope y’all don’t mind if a take a moment to be a little more open and real than usual. Of course I plan on getting to the gym more, tracking my food better & posting more regularly on my blog & youtube channel (but I’ve had those goals for a while now).

Instead of making a list of resolutions this year I made a list of ways to improve as a whole human if possible.

I want to share this list and make myself accountable to this commitment of change.

  • This year my goal is to love morewant less.
  • I plan to make a point in telling others THANK YOU!
  • I need to focus less on I.
  • Work on remembering that every stranger met is an individual with their own individual joy/misery, something as simple as being genuine when asking how their day is going may be exactly what they need.

We may not be able to change others but we can change ourselves and that change can be catching. I believe one person can make a difference, I heard a quote earlier today that made me really think about that.

I am only one, but I am one. I can’t do everything, but I can do something. The something I ought to do, I can do. And by the grace of God, I will.

– Edward Everett Hale

A year ago today I honestly wasn’t in a place for rational thought. I was unhappy beyond measure physically, mentally & emotionally. I feel like I’ve climbed to the top of the hole of sadness I fell into and now I plan on clawing at the edges until I can fully pull myself out and become a wholly improved individual (physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually).

There are still A LOT of things that I don’t know and that I’m unsure of, but isn’t that what it means to be human.

I hope that this individual can make a difference for at least one person, if I can achieve that I will truly be satisfied.

Here’s to a year of overall improvement, I hope you’ll grow along with me!

Until my next post just remember,

Hydrate. Satiate. Celebrate.
